Alison has only been gone a few weeks and its already gone down hill, all the lovely extras she supplied (pots, photo frames, lovely gifts,) have been removed, alot of the great food removed from the shelves. Such a shame, this shop was such an asset to the village, the village wants decent quality items, not bookers rubbish.

This is a regular stop-off for me when out cycling. I only go for the cafe where the coffee's good and there is always a nice little selection of cake and pastries. Order any cake/pastry and it will be delivered beautifully presented with a garnish of fresh fruit and a sprinkling of icing sugar. There is a sheltered "garden" at the back, a nice sun trap on a summer's day.
The shop sells all kinds of standard food items but also a host of other stuff: cards, gifts, toys.....
And the "ladies" as they seem to be called, are consistently welcoming, warm and professional.

Great shop and cafe. We stopped here twice today - for coffee at beginning of our walk and tea at the end. Cafe has recently been extended so now has a nice garden at the back as well as the table at the front and also a larger indoor seating area. Shop looks great too - all the basics but also lots of interesting things too. Apparently a community run enterprise - the staff were all great. Thanks to you all for adding to a wonderful day out walking in the East Sussex countryside
